Kräuter Mix GmbH Policy Regarding Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR)

Kräuter Mix supports compliance with the social and environmental standards on the basis of the ten requirements described in the BSCI Code of Conduct 1-10 (http://www.bsci-eu.org/index.php?id=2034) and warrants to meet these standards within its own business.

Kräuter Mix manufactures exclusively in Europe, but imports raw materials from more than 70 countries worldwide. We seek to improve the living conditions of the people living in our supplying countries and are committed to making sure that the BSCI standards are observed by our suppliers. For this purpose, we have informed our suppliers about the BSCI and shall work towards compliance at least with the social minimum standards. Each supplier will be documented in our company’s own ERP system with regard to its acceptance of the contents of the BSCI standards.

A number of associations within the food industry have pointed out that, due to the nature of the industry, it is not possible for their member businesses to ensure compliance with the BSCI requirements throughout the entire supply chain. We ask for your understanding that Kräuter Mix, too, is unable to guarantee compliance with the BSCI criteria in our supply chain throughout all countries, but be assured that we are working towards this goal. In the interest of an open and fair partnership with our customers we will, therefore, give only those guarantees which we are able to keep.
