Frank Tremml’s last day at work after 39 years
After 39 years at the company, Frank Tremml celebrated his last day of work at Kräuter Mix in August. A long-standing member of the logistics team, Tremml has just retired and will be missed by his coworkers and managers alike. At a farewell party, Managing Director Silke Wurlitzer and Deputy Head of Logistics Thomas Zehnder thanked him for his years of hard work and wished him all the best for the future.
Retiring after so many years is always a big achievement, but in Frank Tremml’s case it is an international one too! Kräuter Mix operates globally, and for many decades Tremml was the company’s expert for all things customs. In fact, it fell to the 64-year-old to process the different customs procedures and manage the import and export of the company’s herbs and spices with the administrative authorities. This included maintaining Kräuter Mix’s official status as an authorized economic operator according to customs regulations and serving as a point of contact for customs officials. Tremml was also responsible for maintaining the master data on a variety of items, ranging from aniseed to onion.
When Frank Tremml joined Kräuter Mix’s warehouse management team back in 1984, the company employed just 50 people and achieved an annual turnover of seven million euros. Since then, the workforce has grown to 500 employees, a turnover of 145 million euros and a 50 percent export share. “The company’s development is a reflection of the personal development of employees like Frank Tremml,” said Silke Wurlitzer, looking back at the ways in which the areas of logistics and customs have grown over the years.
