Jürgen Köstner celebrates 20 years at Kräuter Mix
IT is the interface between society and software. For 20 years now, it has also been Jürgen Köstner’s area of responsibility at Kräuter Mix. The Head of IT celebrated this professional milestone recently to the congratulations of the board and his team. Of the company’s 500 employees, eleven are committed to electronic data processing. Yet when Jürgen Köstner joined Kräuter Mix back in 2003, the IT department was just half its current size!
As an application developer with previous professional experience as a programmer and project manager, Köstner started out at Kräuter Mix looking after the merchandise management system, which maps each and every one of the medium-sized firm’s business processes in the production of air-dried herbs, vegetables and spices. Five years later, he took over as team leader with two employees before being promoted to head of department and a member of the management team in 2011. An experienced IT specialist, Köstner sees himself as a problem solver. Along with his team at Kräuter Mix, he is currently shaping the process of the digital transformation and is responsible for the planned introduction of a state-of-the-art merchandise management system.
