GMP

GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) – this means top hygiene and safety standards on par with the level of the pharmaceutical industry (certified by Medicines Agency Upper Bavaria).

Founded in 1919, the global cultivation as well as procurement, processing and control of a wide range of plant raw materials has a longstanding tradition at Kräuter Mix. For decades, we have been a most reliable partner for the pharmaceutical industry thanks to our manufacturing license for herbal medicinal products.

Due to the continuously increasing requirements in hygiene and safety standards in the production of food, active plant substances and pharmaceuticals, Kräuter Mix has now launched a comprehensive investment program, among others the modernization of our active substances production area and the packing line for herbal medicinal products.

The following processes are now GMP-certified and are also offered as a service:

  • Grinding
  • Cryogenic grinding
  • Mixing
  • Cleaning and cutting
  • Sterilizing
  • Packing and commissioning of active plant substances and medicinal products

In the planning and construction of buildings and facilities, we set great store by perfect cleanability and protection of (temporarily) open facility areas against any contamination through environmental influences or predecessor products. Other key aspects of the GMP compliance in production include airlocks and hygiene programs, qualification of rooms and facilities as well as process validation and calibration of measuring tools.

Our GACP-management system and our quality control, too, have been advanced in the course of this investment and will also take on an important role in the future. A well-functioning supplier evaluation system and a targeted supplier development system are therefore very important. Our service portfolio ranges from coordinated monitoring procedures and the fully documented control of raw material in line with pharmacopoeias to the full release of medicinal products through our experts and the handling of other pharmaceutical responsibilities.

Our customers benefit from almost 100 years of experience in the procurement, control and processing of plant raw material and can draw on our comprehensive service offering in matters of production, proper storage and quality control.

Our concepts are as varied as the requirements of our customers, and (almost) everything is possible - both the use of single segments and a complete outsourcing.

We are looking forward to discussing the options with you!
