Winning a prize here is a rite of passage for all the world\u2019s hottest juniper spirits: the World Gin Awards. Every year, the Awards see the best gins from around the globe selected at the single most important international gin competition, with prizes awarded by renowned specialist magazine The Drinks Report. Over the course of a large-scale blind tasting, the expert jury judges the quality of the pure distillate. This year saw the experts compare and evaluate more than 130 gins from over 30 different countries. Prizes were awarded across eleven different categories, including Classic Gin<\/em>, London Dry Gin<\/em> and Flavoured Gin<\/em>.<\/p>\n This year\u2019s international jury included sales manager Nina Bauer. Responsible for gin botanicals at Kr\u00e4uter Mix, including juniper berries, lemon peel and angelica root, Bauer cast her vote in the Old Tom Gin<\/em> category, which involved tasting seven different gins. As in the previous year, the Covid-19 pandemic once again prevented the tasting and awards ceremony from taking place in London, the home of gin. Instead, it was hosted exclusively online.<\/p>\n As a supplier of juniper berries and other botanicals for gin distillation, Kr\u00e4uter Mix once again numbered among the sponsors for the high-profile event.
