At the end of September, the German government announced their inflation relief package, including the decision to allow companies to pay their employees an inflation bonus that is exempt from taxes and social-security contributions. Kr\u00e4uter Mix\u2019s 500 employees are set to benefit from this special voluntary bonus for the first time through the October payroll. In place of a one-time payment, every employee who has been with the company for at least a month will receive a monthly net bonus of 200 euros until April 2023. Trainees, meanwhile, will receive 100 euros, and part-time employees a pro-rata equivalent.<\/p>\n

The inflation bonus is our way of showing our appreciation for our employees,\u201d said managing director Silke Wurlitzer. \u201cThe way we see it, the only way to overcome current economic developments is to work together.\u201d<\/p>\n
Kr\u00e4uter Mix, a manufacturer of plant-based raw materials including herbs, spices and tea ingredients for the food and pharmaceutical industries, recently celebrated annual sales of 140 million euros. \u201cThe family-owned business has been thinking and acting sustainably for over 100 years now, and has its employees\u2019 best interests at heart,\u201d explained Silke Wurlitzer. Christoph and Bernhard Mix are the third and fourth generations, respectively, to run the company, which was founded in 1919.
