Eleanor Ford takes us on a journey through the world of spices<\/strong><\/h2>\n

This year\u2019s Food ingredients Europe<\/em><\/a> saw renowned cookbook author and spice specialist Eleanor Ford<\/a> from London thrill visitors with her vast knowledge of spices: from ginger to pepper \u2013 you name it, she knows it!<\/p>\n

Eleanor Ford draws on her travels to more than 80 different countries as well as her time in Hong Kong to share her experiences with and knowledge of spices on a regular basis in her fascinating lectures. Her books, including A Whisper of Cardamom<\/em> and The Nutmeg Trail<\/em>, have received an array of awards, including the Edward Stanford Travel Award and three Guild of Food Writers Awards.<\/p>\n

Kr\u00e4uter Mix\u2019s \u201cThe Secret Lives of Spices\u201d<\/em> event gave visitors the chance to immerse themselves in the world of spices<\/a> in a multi-sensual experience. Eleanor captivated the crowd with her vivid \u2013 and deeply informative \u2013 tales of pepper, ginger, cardamom and nutmeg, while Kr\u00e4uter Mix\u2019s spice samples<\/a>, in all sorts of different forms and blends, made for the most tempting aromas. Of course the taste buds of those present were not neglected, with visitors treated to a range of delicacies, including spiced beef martabak <\/em>and hazelnut, cardamom & chocolate amaretti<\/em>, all made to Eleanor\u2019s recipes.<\/p>\n

During the subsequent get-together, Kr\u00e4uter Mix sales managers and our spice team were on hand to discuss the latest developments in the spice market as well as our range of spices<\/a> with anyone whose interest had been piqued. A big \u2018thank you\u2019 to everyone who took part and joined us on our journey into the \u201cThe Secret Lives of Spices\u201d<\/em>.<\/p>\n
