Employees and the company chose donations over holiday gifts
To round off 2025, Kräuter Mix and its employees made two generous and meaningful donations to the non-profit organization Mix for Kids.
Every year, the company offers its staff the choice of a holiday present from a selection of gift cards. As usual, alongside the usual restaurant, Christmas tree and spa gift card options, employees could choose to forego their 50-euro gift and instead donate the amount to children in need. In 2025, 82 employees opted to make this charitable donation, raising a total of €4,100 for Mix for Kids’ children’s aid projects.
But that’s not all: For several years now, Kräuter Mix has not sent holiday presents to its business partners, a decision that has been well received, given that the money saved on gifts is now put toward a charitable holiday donation. This is especially true since the thousands of euros that used to be spent on gifts for business partners are now being put to good use in Mix for Kids’ children’s aid projects in Albania, India, South Africa and Germany.
“This money will make such a difference for our long-standing project partners. The children receive educational support and good care, giving them a pathway out of a disadvantaged life and into a better future,” managing partner Bernhard Mix explains the company’s decision to match the employees’ donations, bringing the total to 10,000 euros for Mix for Kids.
