All employees remain unharmed
On Monday, 8th July, 2024, at around 11:20 a.m., a fire broke out in a Kräuter Mix production hall at the company’s site in Abtswind, Germany. All employees working there were able to get to safety in time. Fortunately, no one was injured. The immediately alerted fire departments were able to bring the fire and the heavy smoke under control. No information is currently available on the cause of the fire or the extent of the damage.
The affected hall contains six production facilities for processing herbs, which were affected to varying degrees by the fire. It is currently not possible to estimate when production can resume there. The fire did not spread to the other 28 production lines. These should be back in operation as planned from Tuesday, 9th July, on.
The damage to the production facilities is unlikely to have a major impact on Kräuter Mix’s ability to deliver, as the storage areas have not been affected.
Kräuter Mix would like to thank all the emergency services for their quick and prudent action, which prevented the fire from spreading further. Kräuter Mix will provide further information as soon as new findings are available.
