Temporary closure of germ reduction plant will not lead to supply problems
On April 26, a fire broke out at one of our germ reduction plants, affecting the drying unit. Thankfully, no one was injured. Current information suggests a technical defect was to blame for the fire. The plant should be fully repaired within six to eight weeks. The plant closure will not lead to any major bottlenecks in production or supply. We have three further germ reduction plants in Abtswind, Germany, and another plant is set to go into operation in summer. In addition, large-scale storage facilities ensure high product availability all year round.
