He is someone who is committed to doing good – all year round and, of course, at Christmas too: Otto Ellmauer, whose first name is actually Thorsten, is known not only at Kräuter Mix for his social commitment.
For years, he has been tirelessly supporting disadvantaged, underprivileged and sick children – whether as the Easter Bunny, Father Christmas or simply as fundraiser. It is a commitment that comes from his heart, and one that we at Kräuter Mix are happy to support again this year.
Especially for Otto, special edition tins of ‘Otto’s Christmas Tea’ and bags of ‘Otto’s Garlic Pepper’ from our in-house tea and spice range have been filled, which he is now selling at Christmas markets in the region. And no, this tea blend and spice mixture is not available anywhere else and cannot be found on supermarket shelves, as Kräuter Mix does not manufacture products for end consumers. So if you want to purchase one of these blends, you now have the chance to visit Otto at one of the following Christmas markets:
– Christmas market at the Wollochny Hof in Marktbreit on 29 November 2025
– Christmas market in Frickenhausen on 6 or 7 December 2025

Gertraud Mix (left) and Silke Wurlitzer, Managing Director of Kräuter Mix (right), gave the tea and spice blends to Otto Ellmauer.
The proceeds from the sale of the special promotion products will benefit children suffering from leukaemia and cancer. The donation will be handed over to the “Station Regenbogen” in Würzburg at the beginning of the new year, together with funds from other fundraising campaigns and donations from other companies supported by Otto Ellmauer.
According to Otto Ellmauer, almost €25,000 was raised in 2024, and he hopes that a similar five-figure sum will be raised in 2025 to continue providing financial support to the “Station Regenbogen” in the Würzburg Children’s Oncology and all its young patients (Stationen – Elterninitiative-Wuerzburg).
