Kräuter Mix on the hunt for new talent
The Parentum careers fair in Würzburg, Germany, offered one thousand school-age students and their parents a chance to discover more about potential training opportunities and study programs. Kräuter Mix was pleased to number among the 50 exhibitors at the fair, and its stand met with plenty of interest from visitors. Apprenticeships officers Nadine Keller and Karsten Krauss were joined by trainees Leonie Schmitt and Lena Raab and were available throughout the afternoon to present the different commercial, industrial and technical professions at the company and explain their day-to-day work.
As a manufacturer of air-dried herbs, vegetables and spices, Kräuter Mix offers not only traditional traineeships for roles such as industrial clerk, warehouse logistics specialist and electronics technician for operating technology, but also roles specifically geared toward the needs of the food industry. These include food technology specialist, machine and plant operator and chemical laboratory assistant, as well as placements as part of the dual work-study program in Food Management in partnership with the Baden-Württemberg Cooperative State University.
Back at the stand, visitors were able to put their noses to the test in a sensory trial, guessing the scents of a range of herbs and spices and getting a taste for some of the company’s products at the careers fair. As an added bonus, there were tea blends and spice mixes up for grabs as prizes! “Herbs are exciting! I would never have guessed there was so much to them,” said one visitor to the fair as she left the Kräuter Mix stand with a packet of tea and a handful of information leaflets. Who knows: perhaps this high school graduate will join the 2023 training cohort in September?
