Kräuter Mix once again successfully takes part in the “Cycle to Work” initiative
This year, 53 employees of Kräuter Mix once again participated in the nationwide “Cycle to Work” campaign organised by the German health insurance provider AOK. During the campaign period from 1 May to 31 August, participants regularly commuted to work by bicycle, and covered collectively an impressive 26,590 kilometres.
Thousands of Kilometres Making a Difference
At Kräuter Mix, the kilometres cycled contribute not only to employee wellbeing and environmental sustainability. The “Cycle to Work” initiative also reflects several core values of Kräuter Mix. It encourages a healthy lifestyle, promotes environmentally friendly mobility and simultaneously creates tangible benefits for social projects.
For many years, the company has converted the distances covered during the campaign into donations for Mix for Kids, its charitable association. For every kilometre cycled, Kräuter Mix donates €0.15.

A donation check for 4,444 euros was symbolically presented to the Mix for Kids association – represented by Tanja Keim (3rd from right) and Gertraud Mix (2nd from right) – in recognition of the kilometers “cycled” by the employees of Kräuter Mix Managing Director Marco Grasmeder. As a result, this year’s campaign generated a donation of €3,988.50, which Kräuter Mix topped up to €4,444. The funds will support a range of humanitarian projects benefiting children in Germany, Albania, India and South Africa. These initiatives help improve living conditions in a sustainable manner while creating new opportunities and prospects for children and young people.

The most successful participant, Roland Gromann, received a special “medal” in the form of a bicycle chain.
Honour for remarkable achievement
To recognise their outstanding commitment, the company honoured the campaign’s top-performing participants. Roland Gromann secured first place with an exceptional 2,244 kilometres. Doris Golm and Robert Uhl shared second place, each completing 1,512 kilometres, followed by Monika Lechner in third place with 1,426 kilometres.
In recognition of his remarkable achievement, Roland Gromann received a special award: a bicycle-chain necklace featuring a custom pendant engraved with “Kilometre King Roland Gromann – Cycle to Work 2026.” In addition, the campaign’s most successful cyclists who cycled more than 20 days to work, were presented with certificates, catering vouchers and insulated bicycle bags.
