Showing our true colors on International Tea Day
For anyone who cares about tea, May 21 is a very special day. The United Nations has declared it International Tea Day. Here in Germany, thanks to the German Tea and Herbal Tea Association, we’re celebrating it as Tag des Tees. What a great reminder of the myriad ways in which teas, herbal infusions and fruit teas complement our diets and bring joy to our daily lives with their beautiful rainbow colors! We invite all tea lovers to join in the celebration and discover unique varieties – on May 21 and beyond – which are as colorful as life and whose natural properties are a positive influence all over the world.
Herbal and fruit infusions open up a world of possibilities. The option to combine more than 400 different herbs, fruits and other plant parts such as flowers, seeds, buds and roots results in a huge range of flavors. Rosehip peel and hibiscus flowers or apple often form the base of a fruit tea, lending a tart, fruity richness to the blend. In herbal tea blends, chamomile or mint, for example, are a good choice for the flavorful base required.
For customers from the tea industry, Kräuter Mix has an extensive range of individual ingredients for producing herbal and fruit infusions as well as ready-made blends on offer, available both from conventional production and in certified organic quality.
