International Tea Day, May 21
In 2019, the United Nations declared May 21 each year International Tea Day. In Germany, on the initiative of The German Tea & Herbal Infusions Association, the day is known as ‘Tag des Tees’, or ‘Tea Day’, and is an opportunity to celebrate everything that makes teas as well as herbal and fruit infusions so valuable: their diversity, sensuality and naturalness, the role they play in a balanced diet and the sheer pleasure of enjoying a cup. So, come celebrate with us! After all, a love of tea connects people all across the globe day in, day out.
Herbal and fruit infusions open up a world of possibilities. The option to combine more than 400 different herbs, fruits and other plant parts such as flowers, seeds, buds and roots results in a huge range of flavors. Rosehip peel and hibiscus flowers or apple often form the base of a fruit tea, lending a tart, fruity richness to the blend. In herbal tea blends, chamomile or mint, for example, are a good choice for the flavorful base required.
For customers from the tea industry, Kräuter Mix has an extensive range of individual ingredients for producing herbal and fruit infusions as well as ready-made blends on offer, available both from conventional production and in certified organic quality.
