The theme of sustainability was the focus of this year’s traditional anniversary celebration at Kräuter Mix, which began on 8 October with a visit to the Steigerwald Centre in Handthal and a forest hike. The 31 Kräuter Mix employees who celebrated 10, 20, 25, 30, 35 or even 40 years of working for the family business were invited, as well were all those who retired.
Special recognition for exceptional employee loyalty
This special recognition is something that is close to the company’s heart year after year, because the above-average length of working at Kräuter Mix is no coincidence. Rather, “it is the result of people’s work”, emphasised Silke Wurlitzer, commercial director of Kräuter Mix: “People who have shaped, supported and advanced our company over many years. People who have given more than just their working hours and ensured that working together has created real communities. As a representative of the management, she joined HR-Manager Sabrina Klinger and Managing Director Bernhard Mix in thanking the anniversary celebrants for their great loyalty to the company. “Thank you for being a reliable pillar of Kräuter Mix quality. Thank you for many years of growth and successful business development”, added Silke Wurlitzer.

Sustainable human resources development and sustainable forest knowledge
Sustainability played a role in this year’s milestone anniversary celebrations in several ways: in the original sense of something lasting and being preserved over a longer period of time, it was fitting for both the company anniversary and the trip to the Steigerwald Centre with a forest hike on the theme of sustainability and climate change. Last but not least, the topic of sustainability plays a key role in the company every day in terms of the quality of its air-dried herbs, vegetables, fruits and spices. After all, high-quality natural raw materials can only flourish and be produced if natural raw materials are handled sustainably throughout the entire supply chain.
This year’s anniversary celebration concluded with a three-course meal at the Stollburg, which offers a magnificent view of Franconia’s highest vineyards. And, of course, the evening was filled with conversations about past company celebrations and shared experiences over herbal mixes.

Calculating tree volume was just one of the interesting topics covered in the forest lesson at the Steigerwald Centre in Handthal.

The official celebration for Kräuter Mix’s anniversary celebrants took place at Stollburg Castle in Handthal, with managing director Silke Wurlitzer giving the opening speech.
