Police assume technical defect
Following the fire in one of our production halls at the company site in Abtswind at the beginning of July, the investigation into the cause of the fire has now been completed. The Würzburg criminal investigation department and the Bavarian State Office of Criminal Investigation have carried out extensive investigations in recent weeks.
After several inspections of the fire site, they came to the conclusion that a technical defect could have been the cause of the fire. The building and the production facilities installed in it for processing herbs and spices were damaged to the tune of several million euros. No persons were injured in the fire.
Meanwhile, renovation work and planning for the reconstruction of the hall has already begun. The production lines that were not affected by the fire are running unabated in three-shift operation on up to seven days a week.
